Other gametypes

Hey there.
It seems we have a new popular gametype among the men of tPW - Carball. But recently I've found that carball lacks most of the intrigue of VCTF, being a much simpler gametype.

However, there are other "strategic" gametypes other than VCTF, which we never seem to play. I for one would really like for Bombing Run to be added to tPW, and JailBreak seems like a decent option too. I'm not sure, but I suspect even Onslaught could be taken to new heights if played by the right people (that's you guys).

What do you say? What other gametypes would you like to see the men of tPW play?

Well, Jail break is definitley a good choice, there ist no other attractive server running.

Assault is IMHO  onoe of the best alternatives, but there are enough servers running it.

I personally like DD too, but the seems to be an antiphaty against it in the UT-community in general, so this probably isnt a good idea...

Jailbreak is a great gametype. Ive played it before on a sniper server. Another good gametype is FREEZETAG. Basically when you are shot you are frozen in place. To get unfrozen you either have to wait for a few minites to thaw or have a team mate stand next to you for a couple of seconds. You should try it, takes alot of camping. For a good server look for the PSI server in TDM (it is coloured so its not hard to find)

i love jailbreak - it makes you appreciate being alive (like TAM) and it gets more risky and ruthless the more people are jailed, for both teams. Hey even jail's not that bad - althought u dont get to play you can watch or beat up your fellow jail-m8's, (as long as the mapper provides cameras) ...just dont drop the soap...

2 more things i like are the death sequences such as gas, burning, drowning, lasers, electrocution... (the mapper can really get inventive here!) and i like saving your team if your the last one. Instant hero appointment!

Hey even jail's not that bad - althought u dont get to play you can watch or beat up your fellow jail-m8's,

There are also  some maps you are able to shoot down non-jailed enemies from inside the jail; and not to forget the jail-1Vs1-matches

yea, i dont rele understand those arena matches in the jb. but i do like getting rewards for revenge etc..

sometimes, two jailed men randomly get put in a special made arena to fight for their freedom - if they win they get beserk and stuff when their freed. gives a team more of a chance if their losing

Even though we probably won't be able to hook up for any games (thanks to that big body of water between us) - We still are up to try a few games and see. We've played JB(fun), ONS, and BR...One of our guys is in a BR team that plays matches frequently - they will be very sad to see it leave when 2007 comes out.

Heck we've even played some mods like Air Buccaneers and have one of our servers set up to run it whenever we want to play...lol - fun for a change of pace. ABU is in your neck of the woods...
