Euro VCTF League?

Under the Euro VCTF League I mean a central site where all the european VCTF clans and huntsmen would come together, and where hunts between them would be organized and demos/stats/pics kept.

Or do you reckon it would be a flop? Too few clans and men around to keep it alive?

P.S. I encourage clanmembers to post the same poll question on their clan websites, so that their opinions can be heard and taken into account as well.

Yes I belive so.vctf may have few supporters, but they are hard supporters. something like this would bring the vctf'ers closer and would surely bring many enjoyable skrimishes. As long we have at least ONE dedicated to organizing it, it would be good

I'm for it, if only to organize the friendly matches we sometimes have with other groups. I wouldn't want to see tPW turn into a victory-hungry league group. I really like the friendly, casual atmosphere we have around here.

i have spoken to [PHX] very briefy on the subject and told them to come to this thread and they seem interested. hopefully you will hear more from them directly in the near future

We are waiting a long time allready that a VCTF Ladder here in Europe will start. Maybe one will come with UT2k7.

Most of the Euro clans have TAC-ed, and most of the ones that remain can't speak english.

You say that vctf will get a better reputation in ut2k7. but what i have been told it wont exist. rather it would just be called ctf (but my info might have changed so if anyone knows please correct me)

but, by the sounds of it we need a website for the league and some clans/huntmen.

what i think should happen aswell is name players who would take part in the wars as some clans might just go to the nearest server and recruit just for the war.

In the past year several teams have quit mainly because many people were not willing to compromise. Some teams wanted to mandate utcomp...others did not. The option was given that whatever teams played had the option to either use it or not - problem resolved?.....NOT. Much arguing and I'll admit I got into some of the piss fights. There are still several clans that want to play VCTF but as far as the "organized" part and competition part of our site...it doesn't exist at the moment.

Several people have stated they are waiting for 2007 - but to me thats just an excuse...

The matter is on hold as far as I'm concerned. Interest is voiced throughout many clans, but the entire VCTF scene is still too small and too fractured. Just take into account the 3-4 German VCTF clans that wouldn't even be able to participate in the League due to their lack of knowledge of English.

I know Anni, and it's a shame, a big fat one. If only we could get more English-speaking clans involved...
