What about a vertical vtcf-map

I think a vertical map would be fun, are there any existing? I know there are - for DOM but I've never seen one for VCTF

Hmm, could be interesting to make a map that is placed on a huge vertical cliff. Both bases at the same level, and there could be parts of the cliff bulging out to break the line of sight, tunnels inside the mountain and bridges.. hmm.. Wonder if its possible to tilt the terrain?

I've considered this idea myself, when playing around with the portal gun mutator on roadkill. I created a portal on our flag, then from that point looked up and shot another portal, which eventually formed on the very top of the maps subtracted space. Every time a bot went to take the flag, they would suddenly find them selves about 5000 feet up, and falling >:D . It's actually pretty fun fighting people in freefall, and if a manta is falling with you, you can get onto the wing, or in it, and you wont die at the bottom. I had an idea of creating a seperate raptor room above roadkill, that you could teleport to (and not back) to a room with two raptors and a hole in the bottom. Just get in a raptor and go down the hole, then as the map pushes you down, other players see raptors appearing from the sky, as if they have descended from space. Anyway i wasnt sure if people would like that.

Another 'vertical' map i liked was CTF-Range, with two bases on the tops of mountains with cable cars as the only way to get between them, though i cant see how this would work for VCTF.

As for something like the conduit map, i think nova is right, the upper team would always have the advantage. No idea about the vertical cliff suggestion- sounds fun tho.  :)

I'm always in favor of original maps. All of these ideas sound like fun. Go do one of them!

I remember one called Wilderness,but was really dificult one to take the flag ,it usually was a bit boring because of it,but is a nice map,rofl i remember a one hour game on that map,give it a try guys:
