Anni, I still got this 100mb fiber line doing nothing in my appartment. Wanna feed it with a ut2k4 server?.. I've got hardware doing nothing as well...

2. Is it ok to use teamviever instead of windows remotde desktop (dun trust that 1)

3.  I feel n00bish... to be honest, I haven't played online since 2008. And now for some reasons I can't get u2k4 to work anymore. Could use some help on this one. I've got all the patches used before, 3369 n such. But I can't connect to any servers and I can't brows servers in-game. Has Epic pulled the plug on 2k4 or something?
Nm that one, I used my friend google... And some gentle harassment on my firewall.

Put it on a public IP and add ucc.exe to the Windows Firewall exceptions. That's the simplest way (that is, if you have a spare public IP around). If n't, check out the docs @ unrealadmin.org.

Y n't? No reason not to... it's faster, included with the OS and - just plain optimal.

I play is once every few days. VM and Rembo's are still active VCTF servers. Also, i see many wh0rez still play every once in a while.

I doubt we're having a VCTF match anytime soon, since people can't be arsed to sign up. Maybe somewhere in 2011 

Currently playing Just Cause 2 alot, it's an awesome game.

Got UT3 the other day for PS3 and remembered all the fun i've had with my minigun and you all 

I've ditched the PC playform after epic let down linux users and play only on PS3 nowdays. If any of you lads do UT3 there aswell, let me know and we'll exchange flak

I most certanly would. But I seem to lack the time these days. Also this is the first time I visited the forums since Januari.
To be honest though, if I could get the server up running (not likely right now) and a lot of the old hags would return, then I'd say that would be awesome and I would find the time to play again. Definitely!

Seriously though, I'm still on linux and i refuuuuuse using windows. My tip to you if you want something UT2k4 like game is to try savage2 (savage2.com). It's quite free to play, some small perks are gained by paying...
